Tour overview

Quito’s Old Town is best understood on foot, and best explained by someone who lives in it. This three-hour walk leaves the Basílica del Voto Nacional at 10:00 a.m. and follows the streets of the historic center with a bilingual guide.

You will see the facades of the main colonial churches, stop at the places where the city’s history actually happened, and hear the legends locals still tell about them.

It ends the way a Quito morning should: a tasting of traditional sweets, then Ecuadorian chocolate at Yumbos Coffee Shop.

Our office sits on the corner by the Basílica, so this walk starts on our own doorstep. Shared tour, low level, running every day of the week, $15 per person.
